Sustainable building conference SB14 (28 – 30 October)

SB14Sustainable Building conference SB14 will take place in Barcelona, Spain, on 28th & 29th & 30th October 2014.

The International Conference on Sustainable Buildings – Construction Products and Technologies SB14 is part of a major international series of conferences that focus on sustainable building and construction. The series was launched by the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) and the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE) more than ten years ago, and these partners were subsequently joined by the Sustainable Building and Climate Initiative (SBCI) of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). The series, now on a three-year cycle, has become recognized as the world’s preeminent conference series in this important field. The series consists of a first year of planning, followed by a series of regional conferences in the second year, and culminating in a global event during the third year. The Palau de Congressos de Catalunya (Catalonia Conference Centre) will host the Conference – one of the largest meetings on a global level on sustainable building.

SAIE 2014 (22 – 25 October)

SAIEThe 50th anniversary edition of SAIE will take place from 22nd to 25th October 2014 in Bologna, Italy.

Since 2012 the international building exhibition has a new format and offers new services and new opportunities. SAIE brings together various players in order to offer integrated solutions for a changing sector, assuring greater attention to the environment as well as greater energy efficiency, safety and provision of services. SAIE 2013 closed with 85,000 visitors. The four-day event spanned 9 exhibition halls with more than 800 exhibitors spread over a surface area of 80,000 m² and included meetings, in-depth discussions and proposals involving more than 12,000 professionals enrolled in the seminars and workshops of the Better Building & Smart Cities Forum.

Clean Energy Building Expo (15 – 16 October)


Clean Energy Building Expo will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on 15th & 16th October 2014.

The CEB® Clean Energy Building Expo is an international trade fair and congress for energy efficiency and will take place for the fifth time in Budapest. At the exhibition you will receive extensive information on the products, technologies, services and innovations in the area of energy efficient buildings and reconstruction.

Sustainable Places 2014 (1 – 3 October)

sp14Sustainable Places 2014 conference will take place in Nice, France, on 1st & 2nd & 3rd October 2014.

Sustainable Places 2014 will focus on energy efficiency at building, neighbourhood, district and city levels. It will cover research and innovation projects and initiatives across the construction value chain. This open research forum will be a key opportunity for delegates to meet and network with architects, building designers, energy consultants, urban planners, construction materials producers, energy generation systems manufacturers, ICT developers, academic & non-academic researchers, public authorities representatives, construction companies, service companies (including financial organisations & ESCOs), distribution & transmission system operators, standardisation organisations, and facility managers. Sustainable Places 2014 will enable to access up-to-date information, assess outcomes from the most advanced research and innovation projects, discuss possible synergies, and envision possible standards evolution. An attendance of around 200 participants, coming from Europe and other regions of the world, is targeted.

RENEXPO Poland (23 – 25 September)

renexpo4th International Trade Fair and Conferences for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency will take place in Warsaw, Poland, on 23rd & 24th & 25th September 2014.

The RENEXPO® (Renewable ENergyEXPOsition) Poland is not only one of Poland’s largest and most significant event on renewable energies, but also creates an energy platform in the country.

The trade fair, becoming a tradition, as well as the conferences demonstrate how simple and ecologic the future energy generation, supply and usage can become.

RENEXPO® Poland is quite successful:135 exhibitors (40 % international), over 3.850 visitors and about 1.200 conference participants in 2013 showed very big interest in the Poland’s Renewable Energy Platform.

Energy Efficiency in Buildings (15-16 September)

decadeThe ‘Energy Efficiency in Buildings’ event will take place in Berlin, on 15th & 16th September, at Movenpick hotel. ‘Energy Efficiency in Buildings’ is an event  for all who believe that buildings with minimum energy consumption have the potential not only to reshape the way we live and work, but also to have a tremendous environmental impact, while guaranteeing financial returns to those who invest in them.

Thematically the event will focus on all key areas of energy efficiency in buildings in both the public and private sectors – from procurement of finance and EPCs, contractual landscape and technologies, policy efforts, the issues of monitoring energy use and quantifying energy savings, and probably most importantly, on creating the business case for all involved.

It will showcase some of Europe’s most interesting energy efficiency projects, such as the retrofit of 2000+ London’s buildings, Paris’ 100+ schools, and Barcelona’s main public buildings.

IRENEC 2014 (26 – 28 June)

IRENEC 4th International 100% renewable energy conference will take be held on 26 – 28 June 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey.

EUROSOLAR Turkey, the Turkish Section of the European Association for Renewable Energy, once again brings you the annual International 100% Renewable Energy Conference (IRENEC 2014). EU Sustainable Energy Week (23 – 27 June)

EUSEWDuring the whole month of June, hundreds of Energy Days will take place across Europe and beyond. Every year EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) gathers hundreds of organisations and individuals. Through bottom-up efforts, organisers of EUSEW Energy Days, events and activities connect directly with citizens and energy stakeholders at the local, regional and national levels. The combined results of EUSEW efforts are helping Europe reach its energy goals. Check the Energy Days happening in Brussels or in your region, and register for the conference, workshop, guided tour or exhibition of your choice.

EUSEW High Level Policy Conference

The HLPC will take place from 24 to 26 June in Brussels, and includes some 30 sessions on renewable energy, energy efficiency and clean transport. Sessions are organised both by Commission services, and by external stakeholders (industry associations, networks, NGOs, media). Participation is free of charge.

ECTP-E2BA Conference 2014 (17 – 19 June)

ECTPECTP-E2BA Conference ‘Construction and Built Environment – Future Horizonstakes place from 17 to 19 June 2014 in Brussels, Belgium.

It is organized by the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) jointly with ENCORD (European Network of Construction Companies for Research and Development) and ENBRI (European Network of Building Research Institutes), and with the support of ECCREDI (European Council for Construction Research, Development and Innovation).

The objective of this conference, which will celebrate the 10th anniversary of ECTP and the 25th anniversaries of both ENCORD and ENBRI, will be to identify the main challenges and to shape the future horizons of the built environment in the coming 25 years. How to develop and implement innovation in the built environment to reinforce its level of performance and to boost its global mission, while keeping its traditional and cultural feature? How to increase its positive impacts on life quality, economy growth and job creation, while keeping a sustainable attitude? How to develop cooperation between the construction sector, which is the main actor of the creation and maintenance of the built environment, and all other stakeholders (from industry or society) to follow a coherent, integrated and effective roadmap?

This event co-locates with Building Test Expo 2014. TRIBUTE’s roll-up poster will be presented at the event by TRIBUTE project manager Václav Smítka (AMIRES).

industrial technologiesTRIBUTE project will be presented at the Industrial Technologies 2014 conference, that will took place in Athens on April 9th  – 11th  2014. This conference is organized under the auspices of the Greek Presidency to the European Council.

The Industrial Technologies 2014 conference integrates nano, bio, materials and production technologies. The event offers opportunities for developing valuable research and industry collaborations, and showcases cutting-edge research, latest innovations and rising companies from all around Europe.
